I spoke with Ethan about his experience of making the movie and just how easy it is for him to play the piano. While Nathan is on the street and while his dad frantically tries to find him, he discovers his musical gift. It’s a heartwarming movie with shades of “August Rush” that tweens especially will love. ![]() When he overhears that the man he thought was his father (played by Jonathan Bennett of “Memorial Day” and “Mean Girls”) is not his biological father, he runs away. ![]() In “Anything is Possible,” Ethan plays Nathan, a young boy whose Army Lieutenant mother (played by Lacey Chabert of “Party of Five” and “Mean Girls”) goes missing during a tsunami rescue mission in Japan. If that isn’t enough, he has shared the stage with such luminaries as Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Celine Dion, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, and Josh Groban.Įthan is also a humanitarian who has raised more than $30 million for charities, including his favorite, the Children’s Miracle Network. He has performed all over the world, has done PBS concert specials, and has been interviewed by the likes of Oprah and Jay Leno. At six, he beat Michael Jackson for the record as the youngest performer ever to headline a solo tour, and in 2011, he was the youngest entertainer to headline in Las Vegas. He plays by ear and knows thousands of pieces of music by heart.
